To connect Gate to TWM, please follow the instructions below:
First, login into your Gate account.
Once logged in, navigate to your profile's security section and make sure you have Google Authenticator enabled. It is also essential that you create a Fund Password; otherwise, you will not be able to create an API key.
1. You can do this in the "Fund Password" section (1) by clicking "Setup" (2).
2. After setting up your security, navigate to the API key management page https://www.gate.com/myaccount/profile/api-key/manage.
On this page, click on "Create API Key" (1).
3. You will need to configure the new key. Give your API key a name (for example, TWM) in the API Key Remark field (1).
4. For security, it is recommended that you bind the API key to your IP address. You can find your IP on a site like www.whatismyipaddress.com add your IP to the list (2), and then click on "Bind IP" (3).
Please keep in mind that an API key not bound to an IP will be automatically disabled if it has been inactive for more than 90 days.
Next, select "API v4 Key" (4) as the key type and "Trading Account" as the account type (5).
Now you must set the correct permissions for the TWM connection to function properly.
Select the required permissions (1) from the list and ensure they are all set to “read and write” before you click "Submit" (2).
5. Go ahead and accept every risk reminder shown and click on “I accept” to proceed. Your API Key and Secret Key will now be displayed. Copy both keys and keep them somewhere safe, as this is the only time you can access and record the Secret Key.
6. To complete the process, open TWM and go to the "Connections" menu, then click "Configure". Select "Gate" from the available list, add your API Key and Secret Key into the fields provided, and then press "Ok". Finally, go back to the "Connections" menu and turn the toggle for the Gate Mainnet connection on. You’re now ready to start trading.
